OMAHA (KPTM)- A man stole thousands of dollars of merchandise from a local skate shop this weekend.

He may have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for his image being captured crystal clear on six HD cameras.

It was a high-priced robbery, captured on some high definition cameras. "Worst part about it to me, is it's a local robber, it's a local business," said Jacob Yager.

It's Yager's first month working at Wake-N-Skate, and it's one of the biggest times of the year for the locally owned skate shop.

"That's what a lot of our Christmas sales are," said Yager.

Christmas sales which  are dropping, after a man robbed the store around 4 o'clock Saturday morning.

"He continues to walk in and steal every complete skateboard we have, which is about twelve of them I think," said Yager as he described the surveillance video.

According to Yager and the owner, the robber stole about thirty-five hundred dollars worth of merchandise. "(It's a) Big hit to our winter season," said Yager.

Yager said the robber didn't seem to be in much of a hurry. He said, the whole video is about ten minutes, and you can see him going back and forth to his car. "He's not even wearing a mask," said Yager.

The robber took big-ticket items, said Yager. The video shows him grabbing the register and some power tools.

"He saw a coat that was on the counter," said Yager. "He came back for that."

As Yager counted the empty racks, he said there's one thing he can count on; six different surveillance cameras throughout the store.

"You're being watched from six different points of view."

Yager, hoping, the next time this man's face is captured on camera, it'll be his mug shot.

The owner said, they have an idea of who the man is, but police haven't been able to find him yet.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, at 444-STOP.
