UPDATE: Interstate 80 was expected to open at Lincoln Exit 395, westbound, by 4 p.m. Eastbound lanes opened beginning at Kearney by 4 p.m.
I‑80 west of Lincoln has been closed due to winter weather conditions since 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
UPDATE: The Nebraska Department of Roads website shows that a lot of areas have opened back up along Interstate 80. The inter sate from Lincoln to York is open but it is closed at York. The map shows that the interstate is open from after York to Grand Island, where it closes again.

OMAHA (KPTM)- The Nebraska State Patrol in conjunction with the Nebraska Department of Roads has reinstituted the closure of Interstate 80, both east and westbound lanes from Lincoln to Kimball.
As of 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, all lanes of I-80 west of Lincoln and east of Kimball remain closed due to snow packed and icy road conditions.
Motorists are encouraged to keep up to date with the latest weather and road conditions by utilizing 511, Nebraska's Advanced Travelers Information System.
