RALSTON (KPTM)- Surveillance video of a fast food robbery shows a customer going after the men who held it up. It happened Tuesday night, a pizza pick-up one customer will never forget.
"The guy with the gun turned to me and said stay there. While the other guy was demanding the cash out of the register," said Taylor, who witnessed the entire robbery.
So in the heat of the moment, Taylor took matters into his own hands.
"I jumped on the guy with the gun. And he swung around and nailed me in the head with the butt of his gun," he said.
He has 11 stitches in his head to prove it. But even that hard blow didn't stop him.
"I said, well I go, ‘You M f-er.' And then went for it again. Still trying to go after him and he went out the door and that's when I noticed blood all over the place," he said.
Police believe the two men who robbed Little Caesars were the same two that held up a radio shack in Papillion. In that robbery one teen was shot.
"You hear about it all the time and it's just young kids and it's for 20, 40, 50 bucks, you know? And it's just ridiculous," said Taylor.
Taylor said the robbery won't keep him from going to his neighborhood Little Caesars. But he thought he would have at least heard from the business by now.
"I haven't heard nothing from them…I think they should call and thank me," said Taylor.
Even with a serious battle scar, Taylor doesn't consider himself to be a hero. But said if a situation like this were to happen again, he wouldn't think twice.
Police have not made any arrests in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (402) 444-STOP.
