Omaha (KPTM) – Business owners in the Aksarben district are asking the city council to supply the UNO Nebraska Arena with more parking.
Half a dozen business men and women have signed a petition attached to a letter that says not having sufficient parking would push arena spectators into their lots and drive away business.
The current plan outlined by the preliminary plat in the city council says there will be 1,875 parking spots.
The letter says that while the city code is subjective, often time public venues follow a ration of three people to one car.
That would mean 2600 parking spots if plans were to change.
