OMAHA (KPTM) - A man was found dead inside a motorcycle club in south Omaha early Sunday morning. Police said it's a homicide and investigators need your help to solve the case.
Just before 11am the Omaha Fire Department was called to the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club off 27th and J streets.
Police said William Furlong was found murdered inside the building. Investigators said they don't have much information. The 911 call was vague. They said the person on the line gave authorities very little to go on.
People in the neighborhood said the bikers are friendly. They mostly keep to themselves, but one neighbor said when they first moved in to the building she was concerned that there would be trouble. She said there hasn't been any trouble since they moved in to the building. She added that this homicide is a tragic loss for the biker community and she hopes someone has answers. "I mean they do barbecues out there and they have a bunch of motorcycle guys coming and going but never really having problems so to us it's a surprise that anything bad happened there," neighbor Diana Guillen says.
Investigators said there was evidence around the body indicating foul play. "We don't have any suspects at this time. We do believe there may be some witnesses that were involved. We ask that anybody with any information please come forward and speak with the Omaha police homicide unit," Officer Shade said.
"If somebody knows, they should think that this could be your family member or this could be a friend of your family that it has happened to, so just think about it that way and then go to authorities and spill the beans," Guillen said.
Officer Shade said someone does know what happened to Furlong. They're asking anyone with information to come forward. If you know anything about this case, you're urged to contact the homicide unit at 444-5656.
At this time investigators are not releasing the man's name. It is unclear if he was a Hells Angels member.
