OMAHA (KPTM)- State Senator Brad Ashford said he will enter the race for Nebraska's Second Congressional District.
“Congress is more dysfunctional than ever and middle class Nebraskans are getting hurt,” said Ashford. “I’m running because I have a proven track record of working across the aisle and I’ll bring that record to Washington to cut through the gridlock and finding bipartisan, common-sense solutions to cutting wasteful spending and growing our economy.”
Ashford is chair of the judiciary committee and is a democrat.
Congressman Lee Terry is seeking another term. The Republican is running against businessman Don Frei in the primary.
