OMAHA (KPTM)- This winter has been one of the worst Omaha has seen in years.
In fact, farmer Roy Smith has not seen anything like this in his 45 years of farming.
"The worst thing is we had very little rain late this summer, like from the middle of June to the end of the year and we've had hardly any snow so there is no moisture built up and we will have to have some built up somewhere to keep the corps alive," said Smith.
If things do not get better, beef prices could skyrocket along with corn, unless Omaha sees more rain.
"There is a whole scale of possibilities from disaster to a pretty good crop," said Smith.
It just all depends on the amount of rain we get.
