Omaha Firefighters Pull Woman From Burning Home

OMAHA (KPTM) - Omaha firefighters pulled a woman from a burning home Monday near 95th and Blondo Street.

The fire call went out about 15 minutes before noon.

Firefighters found the two story home on Burdette Circle on fire. 85-year-old Virginia Muelleman was found on the second floor, she was rescued from the home alive.

Muelleman went to the hospital in critical condition with third degree burns. The fire department says the injuries are life-threatening. Officials with Nebraska Medical Center said she was still in critical condition later that afternoon.

The department says the fire started on the first floor and spread. No cause has been released.
