Creighton Blue Jays Advance in NCAA Tournament; Play Baylor Sunday

SAN ANTONIO, TX (KPTM)-The Creighton Blue Jays will play Baylor Sunday after a 76-66  win over the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette Friday.

No. 3 seed Creighton went into the game ranked 16th with a record of 26-7 and 14-4 in the Big East. Louisiana was seeded 14th.

The Jays were led by Ethan Wragge and Doug McDermott who has been named National Player of the Year by five agencies. He's the nation's leading scorer and ranks fifth in NCAA history with 3,105 career points going in Friday.

According to Austin Chatman and Jahenns Manigat man the Bluejay backcourt and have combined for 243 assists against just 82 turnovers this year.

This is Greg McDermott's fourth season as head coach.
