Would-Be Thieves Fail At Stealing ATM, Police Believe Related to Others

OMAHA (KPTM) – Omaha Police are trying to find out who brokeinto a neighborhood store and tried to steal its automatic teller machine.

Wednesday night, surveillance video showed three people, dressedin all black, break through a window at the Bag N' Save store near 50thand Grover Street around 3:30 a.m. 

Two of the suspects tossed merchandise around to clear theway for them to attach a chain around an ATM.

Moments later a van pulled closer to the store with theother side of the chain attached and attempted to drive off, but failed.

The three suspects then drove off.

Omaha Police Department said detectives believe thisincident is related to several attempted and successful ATM thefts in the pastcouple of months.
