Construction Zone Crash Critically Injures Worker in Gretna

GRETNA (KPTM)- A construction worker is in the hospital with broken bones and internal injuries after a crash in Gretna Thursday morning.

Sarpy County deputies said a man in a truck had a seizure and crashed into a tractor in a construction zone near 213th and Boulder. The tractor was broken in half. Deputies said an air compressor that was attached to the tractor toppled a worker, 21-year-old Hogan McCauley of Council Bluffs.

 McCauley was flown to the hospital.  The driver of the truck wasn’t seriously hurt.

 Another Sarpy County crash Thursday morning critically injured another man  near 187th and Giles. Deputies said Aron Grant crashed into a ditch. Deputies believe he was making a phone call at the time of the accident.

Grant was flown to an Omaha hospital.
