BBDO Worldwide Named Network of the Year at New York Festivals for Second Year in a Row

NEW YORK, May 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, and the fifth time in the last seven years, BBDO was named Network of the Year at the New York Festivals, honoring the world's best work.

At an awards ceremony held Thursday night at the landmark New York Public Library's Beaux-Arts building, 14 BBDO agencies won a total of 89 awards, nearly double its total of last year and significantly more than its nearest competitor.  Included were two Grand Prix Awards, 15 Golds and a Special United Nations Department of Public Information First Place Award for public service.

This year's festival received entries from 67 countries around the world.  Said Michael O'Rourke, Festival President, "This is the most diverse advertising awards competition in the world and is judged by an Executive Jury we call a 'Dream Team.'  So, to be named Network of the Year, and for the second year in a row, is truly an impressive achievement."
