BRIDGEPORT, Conn., July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Called "one of summer 2014's must-see music festivals" by Rolling Stone Magazine, Gathering of the Vibes is in full swing building out a temporary city to accommodate and entertain 20,000 + fans daily. From world-class music on three stages, to one-of-a-kind crafts; from community engagement in the Non-Profit, Sustainability Village, to panoramic views from atop an 85-foot Ferris wheel; Vibes has something for everyone. Celebrating 19 years, Gathering of the Vibes kicks off at Seaside Park in Bridgeport on July 31st and continues throughout the weekend.
"This weekend, we'll take up residency once again in one of Connecticut's most spectacular parks. With over two and a half miles of coastal waterfront and a mile and a half of beach, Seaside Park is truly one of Bridgeport's gems," says festival founder Ken Hays.
This year's lineup features John Fogerty, Ziggy Marley Widespread Panic, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Maceo Parker, Disco Biscuits featuring the Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, Dispatch, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. Over 50 bands will perform throughout the 4-day event.
Camping Passes allow guests full access to the park from Thursday morning until Sunday night, including the Vibes' legendary late night sets and after midnight magic! Fans unable to attend the whole weekend can purchase single day, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday Passes, and enjoy a beautiful day of music on the water. Kids 12 and under are free!
For the ultimate Vibes experience, a limited number of VIP tickets remain. VIP tickets are available for the full weekend or for individual days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
